And that pretty much sums up how I feel about the Clear Skys shorts. Granted it is a nice effort but the story is acceptable at best and the dialog is pretty terrible. The only thing more sad is how he is spending all that time and winding up with a product that is overall sub par.
Perhaps if he took the idea of Clear Sky and presented it to some people who actually know what they are doing, we won't feel like we just wasted time out of our lives.

I think CS3 wasn't as epic as CS2. Signature removed due to the excess of awesomeness, my lord. |

I'm afraid I can't agree with that. Clear Skies has been improving steadily since the beginning, and CS3 is much or more of an improvement than CS2 was.
Think of the stakes! CS2 centered around the fate of a single station. This was, well...certainly grander.
I think the whole "shutting down the entire network" thing was too vaguely if not poorly illustrated and it didn't felt as big of a treat than the million faces showing in CS2. It is just too big of a scale to be properly pictured or felt. Of cause, the device is Jovian... powerful and mysterious... yeah yeah it can even wipe out the entire galaxty if they wants to, but there wasn't much of a emotional battle or a progressive build up of tention, it is just a dull "here is the threat, alright I'll do it, jeez" kind of situation. The Jovians even showed up but they didn't grab the device themselves.
The hotdrop was "epic" in the sense that it involved a ship sacrificed, touching, and a bunch of capitals fighing each other. But it was their job, and they even outnumbered the enemy and the fight was one sided. In CS2 the fight involved many more characters in different ships and they all faught to protect what they want to protect and it was a much more meaningful fight. This time it was just rather, dull.
But there were good things too, things like John going back to save his girlfriend and pwnt the sleepers with a smartbomb was awesome. The dogfight with the frigates was awesome. The "best shot in my life" thing was rather pushed just so they can destroy (or use up entirely) their ship one more time. Yeah... I liked CS2 better, it was more touching than QQ I SAVED THE GIRL THIS TIME AND SHE LOVES ME NOW.

Everything new feature to come to eve, every dev spot, and ever piece of fan work has been nothing but belittled by her.
get smart, stop feeding the troll.
That is not to say she doesn't have some good points, but before she even watched CS3 she already had it in mind to find something to complain about. It's just to get a raise, attention, and stick out.
<3 I love you too
